This blog was created for the purpose of telling stories and events about mainly two family lines...the Jones (my maternal) side of the family and the Silva (my paternal) side. However there are other branched off lines such as the Bojorquez, De Leon, Neilson, and the Rubel sides (and many others) that are to be mentioned as well, as they go farther back. I have wonderful pioneer history and many of my ancestors originally come from places including Denmark, Hungary, England, Sweden, Norway, Mexico, Spain, and Portugal. These are my loved ones...and these are their stories.

About Me:

I love blogging! It's like an 'easy' journal for me. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints...and I love being a Mormon. I have a firm belief of the promise given to Elijah of how the hearts of the children will turn to their fathers. This is why I have created this blog, so that I may be able to help in the fulfillment of that promise and complete more fully my Family History work and preserve the memories of my ancestors for generations to come. My Heavenly Father is so good to me and I know he will help me in all-aspects of this work.

Check out the schedule for live Roots Tech how-to's...






Can’t attend the upcoming Roots Tech Family History Conference in Salt Lake City in person? You may be interested to know that 15 sessions will be streamed live and complimentary over the Internet on the conference website. Five additional sessions aimed specifically at Church members will be available on LDS.org.
Interested viewers can watch the technology and family history presentations live on the rootstech.org home page and enjoy and good sampling of conference content. A selection of classes from Family Discovery Day on Saturday will also be streamed online for Church members on LDS.org, including an address by Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
Now in its fourth year, RootsTech has attracted more than 10,000 registered attendees, and leaders expect more than 20,000 additional viewers online.
Following is the schedule of the 15 one-hour sessions and speakers that will be streamed online on rootstech.org as well as the five presentations that will be streamed live on LDS.org. All times are in mountain standard time (MST).
