This blog was created for the purpose of telling stories and events about mainly two family lines...the Jones (my maternal) side of the family and the Silva (my paternal) side. However there are other branched off lines such as the Bojorquez, De Leon, Neilson, and the Rubel sides (and many others) that are to be mentioned as well, as they go farther back. I have wonderful pioneer history and many of my ancestors originally come from places including Denmark, Hungary, England, Sweden, Norway, Mexico, Spain, and Portugal. These are my loved ones...and these are their stories.

My Testimony

About Me:

I love blogging! It's like an 'easy' journal for me. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints...and I love being a Mormon. I have a firm belief of the promise given to Elijah of how the hearts of the children will turn to their fathers. This is why I have created this blog, so that I may be able to help in the fulfillment of that promise and complete more fully my Family History work and preserve the memories of my ancestors for generations to come. My Heavenly Father is so good to me and I know he will help me in all-aspects of this work.

The Four Jonsies

The Jones Children:

Jeffrey "Jeff" Jones was the firstborn of Scott and Audrey

Next came red-headed Rebecca "Becky" Jones...aka Mom :)

As you can tell Becky and Jeff were good friends :)

Bethany Jones was Number 3 in the Jones Household

 Becky with her cousin
And a few years later...Winston Churchill...
Ok...fine, Steven. :) Stephen Jones!

Almost the entire immediate Jones side. We are missing 2 of Jeff's children Bryan, Mike and Teofilo (the first great-grandchild) in this picture.

From left to right Jeff and his wife Linda; their daughter-in-law BreAna and their son Brandon; Stephen and his wife Shannalee; Bethany and her husband Jason, Me, Becky and her husband Art; Bethany's children...Brittany and Ashley (twins); Grandma and Grandpa; Austin (Becky's); Zach (Bethany's); then on the bottom row...Brooke (Becky's); Stephen's children...Chad, Aimee; Colby (Bethany's); and Carter and Andy who are also Stephen's.

Becky remembers a few stories like this:

Jeff and I were little, dad took us sledding down a BIG hill. Dad laid down on the sled on his stomach, while Jeff got on top of dad and then I got on top of Jeff. We took off going FAST when suddenly I fell off, then Jeff did after too. Dad got to the bottom of the hill all alone and laughing. For some reason this memory was a funny one that has stuck with me...especially everytime I go sledding.

Coming home from Minnesota, we realized Bethany's eye was swelling. She was about two years old at the time. We finally figured out that she had been bitten by a mosquito. It puffed way up! The bad part was that she got a glimpse of herself in the mirror and came unglued screaming. It took mom and dad awhile to calm her down and we kept her from ALL mirrors the rest of the way home.

Jeff and I were riding one of our horses...maybe Sandy. Anyways, He was in front and I was behind hanging on to theedge of the saddle. Jeff got her to start going faster, loping, when we suddenly were bucked off. Jeff said I kicked her in the flank. Mostly I remember Jeff landing where it was rocky and I landed in the soft dirt. :)

One scary memory was when Stephen got lost at Disneyland. ...Thankfully, a policeman found him and not a stranger.

Stephen once (around 2 years old) got loose while getting dressed and ran through the living room naked. Not that that is such a big deal, except that the home teachers were there.

Our family liked to play hide and seek in the dark...it was more of a challenge and lots of fun!

I'm sure the family remembers Bethany's..."Where's my loofapad!?"

Jeff and I sometimes would unwrap our Christmas gifts that were under the tree- BEFORE Christmas and wrap them up again very carefully. (Until we learned that that took the fun out of Christmas morning...

Mom's photographs of us after Bethany was born would often show us three like this: A cute little Bethany and then Jeff and I with our heads cut off.
